Rex and Vicky with friends from Willows, CA who have since moved to Gold Beach, OR. It had been 42 years since we had seen them. We spent two nights with them in their home that overlooks the Pacific Ocean and had a wonderful visit.

Lisa graduated from CSU, Stanislaus with her PhD on 27 May 2011. This was the hooding on 25 Mau 2011. It was such a lovely evening.

Vicky's Cancer surgeries

Second surgery on my nose - Oct. 26, 2010 to remove flap from my nose.

Vicky on October 25, just before 2nd nose surgery. Gauze filled with blood and tissue.

First cancer nose surgery on October 5, 2010 to remove cancer from end of my nose. Had to take skin from my forehead and bring it down to form a nose. Three weeks later, 2nd surgery to remove gauze pad and attach rest of skin to my nose. 3 1/2 hour surgery by Dr. Steven Chase. The cancer was removed by Dr. Bret Smith.

Kyle, Kandace, Leila and Eva on October 3, 2010 before leaving for WA. It was so fun to have them for a few days and to watch Kyle run the St. George Marathon.

Vicky with the children Sunday morning before church. Ryker was not a happy boy. They children were so good for us all week. We are grateful for health and strength to be able to babysit for our children so they can get away. It helps build a bond of love and closeness with our grandchildren too.

Kyle runs the St. George Marathon

Kyle nearing the finish line of the St. George Marathon on October 2, 2010. He completed the race in 3 hours 35 minutes. Fantastic race! It was the hottest St. George Marathon day in the 34 year history of the race.

Our St. George BYU Student Gathering in Provo on September 25, 2010 at the Hinckley Center. We had about 35 student attend and served them pizza, drink and cookies. The Student Alumni President spoke to them and it was a great "get acquainted" time.
